Dietitian Seeking Registered Dietitian to promote disease prevention and health promotion through a plant-based diet to health professionals, the public, and government through clinical research, literature reviews, advocacy, and nutrition education.

About the Physicians Committee Who We Are

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is a nonprofit health organization dedicated to saving and improving lives through good nutrition, advanced medical research, and public policy advocacy. Our vision is to create a healthier world through a new emphasis on disease prevention, plant-based nutrition, and scientific research conducted ethically, without using animals. We invite you to visit our YouTube channel, our website, and Physicians Committee president Dr. Neal Barnard's blog.

About the Nutrition Team

Over the past three decades, the Physicians Committee's nutrition department has achieved many important successes. We've contributed to the elimination of the "meat group" in federal nutrition guidelines, carried out clinical research studies that have revolutionized the treatment of diabetes, and provided the scientific foundation for the health benefits of plant-based diets. Since 2004, meat consumption in the United States has fallen by 10 percent and the number of people adopting plant-based diets has increased dramatically. We aim to propel continued progress through direct patient care, nutrition education and advocacy.

About this Career Opportunity

The Physicians Committee is looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our team. The Dietitian will meet with patients at Barnard Medical Center to provide one-on-one consultations as well as meet with patients in a larger setting to provide group support for making the transition to healthful plant-based diet.

The Dietitian will also serve as a spokesperson for the Barnard Medical Center and Physicians Committee's nutrition education programs while also playing a role on the clinical research team, tackling advocacy initiatives, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is seeking to put their skills to work advancing a lifesaving cause.

This is a full-time position located at the Physicians Committee's headquarters in Washington, D.C.
