About the Clinical Research Team

The Physicians Committee's Clinical Research Team is skilled in conducting, publishing, and presenting research on the health benefits of plant-based diets, and we use our findings to influence scientific understanding, medical practice, public policy, and public awareness.

About this Career Opportunity

The Clinical Research Assistant will help ensure the clinical trial process runs smoothly during recruitment, assessments, and follow-up of the study participants. Specific duties include:


  • Recruitment of study participants through phone screening
  • Scheduling assessments and preparing necessary documents for participants
  • Lead correspondence with participants during the study
  • Assist with class curriculum and logistics during the study
  • Support the Clinical Research department with all administrative tasks


This is a full-time position located at the Physicians Committee's headquarters in Washington, D.C. (Friendship Heights on Metro's Red Line)

Who We're Looking For

If you have an interest in plant-based nutrition along with strong organizational and communication skills, we want to hear from you. Knowledge of nutrition or clinical research principals and procedures is a plus. This role requires the ability and willingness to periodically work early mornings (starting at 6 a.m.), evenings, and weekends.
